Who am I?

Since you clicked this page, I assume you actually want to know a little about me. My name is Alan and I love learning and challenging myself to always do better. I laugh at my mistakes and never take life too seriously, until I do. Then I have to go unwind doing something I love. I enjoy spending time with my family, surfing down on the river, mountain biking and occasionally making it out to the Oregon Coast.

I love every opportunity I get to have a meaningful interaction with people and love to make people’s dreams a reality. I have worked very hard to develop some very useful capacities when it comes to accomplishing this passion including visualizing, problem solving and maximizing efficiency. I am not afraid to tell you if I think something won’t work or if I don’t have the skills to accomplish something. However! I am always willing to learn new things on top of the plethora of skills I have developed over the last 15 years in the outdoor woodworking business. Or I can always contact other specialists I know to help us get something just right.

One of the best parts of finishing a project is getting to stand back and admire all the hard work. I very rarely pass up an opportunity to “earn extra credit points” — a phrase I often use when showing ‘new guys’ little tips and tricks to make a project stand out. I have always enjoyed going above and beyond what is expected of me, not only in my work life but in my personal life doing little random acts of kindness, getting involved in community projects and just making people smile. Hopefully, if we get to work together, I get an opportunity to do a little something extra for you!

A man wearing a beanie sits on a couch with a small kitten sitting on top of his head, sunlight streaming from a window behind them with houseplants on the windowsill.
A woman wearing glasses and a beanie hugs a young girl wrapped in a knitted blanket. The girl has dirt on her face and both are smiling. They are outdoors with a scenic background of mountains and a lake.
